![]() ![]() I also can not access my external hard drives at all. i Can now log on and have internet access using firefox only. I ran Adaware 2008 program and deleted Win32TrojanBHO a couple of times from my computer. I also went through some of the processes to see if any looked suspicious. After doing it though it did stop the fake antiviral progam from popping up but I still have many problems with computer. Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm doing and probably shouldn't have done a regedit. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "sysguard" I did a regedit and removed the following files: When it does work it is for a brief period of time and then gets frozen. When I boot the computer in 'last good known configuration' sometimes my computer works and sometimes it doesn't. ![]() ![]() If I try booting the computer normally i get a blue screen and nothing else. I've been having a very hard time booting the computer from anything other than safe mode. When i contracted the 'spyware protection 2009' virus/malware i noticed my antivirus software had the personal firewall turned to the off position as well as my windows firewall. My anti virus software is Trend Micro internet security and has the latest updates. I would have to click on something 2-4 times in order for me to direct to the right site. ![]() I've spent my entire weekend trying to fix this. about a month prior to this attack my computer kept redirecting me to a weird website whenever I used internet explorer. I immediately thought it was some kind of virus and tried to remove it but was unable to. A couple days ago i had a suspicious program called 'spyware protection 2009' pop up on my screen. This is my home computer and I have the authority to make changes to it. I currently have a dell E1705 running windows XP service pack 3. ![]()
